 Mock exams learner response: blog tasks


Today, we need to closely analyse our performance across both papers and identify specific ways we will improve for the real exams on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 24 May. Complete the following learner response tasks in a new blogpost on your Media blog called 'March mock exams learner response':


1) Type up any comments/WWW/EBI from your teacher from both papers. You don't need to write your total number of marks if you don't want to.

paper 1

  1. Just put the letter-EBI

  2. Need to add basic mise-en sceneEBI

  3. Key message is about chocolate EBI

  4. Wrote about the wrong cspEBI

5.2wrong meaning aiming at audience who is certain psychographic EBI

5.3 I need to talk about what values I am saying, which is upper class. How this magazine aims to similar  people 

7.2. Be specific=name actress+say specific methods 

8. Need to talk about the BBC’s remit

9. How they use Instagram


Paper 2


1.3. What it is suggesting about their relationship. 

1.4. Need to talk about narrative theory and don’t write just about the plot 

02. Need to mention audience pleasures 

04. Effect :makes it seem serious+upheld British values. Be specific when? Give examples? 

 


2) Which paper did you do better in?

Both as i got the same score in both of them


3) Why do you think you did better in that paper?

I did better in paper 2 as i had more time to revise for it as i got to retake it 


4) Focusing on Paper 1, write down three things you need to improve on before the real exams. This may be a particular section or type of question (e.g. unseen analysis, 20 mark essay) or a particular type of media or CSP (e.g. advertising or NHS Represent).

  1. Need to revise the CSPs, mention the characters name in that specific CSP

  2. Remember to mention the write csp in that specific chance 

5) Now look at Paper 2. Write down three things you need to improve on for Paper 2 before the real exams. Again, this might be a topic, type of question or specific skill.

  1. Need to write the amount of paragraphs needed for that specific question 

  2. Need to be specific when i am writing
