Walk and Talk Learner Response

1) Type up any comments/WWW/EBI from your teacher. You don't need to write your total number of marks if you don't want to but it might help if you put marks (for yourself).

WWW- good effort but you didn't mention KK Hollywood and you haven't gone into enough media terminology but good examples from CSP

EBI- you need to write more detail and uses more media terminology

2) Write a question-by-question analysis of your performance. Read the mark scheme I have created THEN for each question, write how many marks you got from the number available and what you did wrong/didn't include.

Q1-2/6 marks-I did not define the meaning of diversion and did not define the pleasure that they give and I was not specific about the CSP that I was talking about.

Q2-3/9 marks- I did not define what in app purchases are and did not explain how Keeping up with the Kardashians built up the Kardashian brand and I also did not relate to the question and how the brand makes money through KK Hollywood.

Q3-8/20 marks- I only talked about Marcus Rashford and not about KK Hollywood and did not use capital letters and the start of names such as Twitter and Marcus Rashford but I linked to how he brands himself and at the end of the 20 marker I didn't link to interviews.

(Q3). Write a full essay plan for this question using the indicative content in the mark scheme and with enough content to meet the criteria for the top level. This will be around THREE well-developed paragraphs planned in some detail.

Q3-'the internet has allowed celebrities to connect with their audiences in new ways'

how far do you agree with this statement?

answer with reference to:

Marcus Rashford and KK Hollywood

Yes I agree with this statement as new digital media has allowed celebrities to connect with their audiences through a number of different ways such as their social media presence and in the case of Marcus Rashford he used his platform to promote his award-winning books and his Twitter account is mostly based on his charity work.

Marcus Rashford shows his political presence by talking about it on his social media accounts and in the first lockdown, actively criticised the UK government over their policies on free school meals and this tweet changed the UK scene over their opinions of the government and also raised awareness about the free school meals movement.

Marcus Rashford has also connected with his audience by talking about his humble background and uses his platform to talk about the struggles he faced during his childhood and how in his childhood he mostly relied on free school meals to eat during a normal day as sometimes as a family the Rashford's had to rely on food banks to feed them during breakfast, Lunch and dinner and because of this he decided to donate money to charity called fare share which is a food charity providing families with food during lockdown as due to the schools being shut some children how relied on free school meals to eat couldn't due to the lockdown.

Kim Kardashian has also connected with her audience through her social media platform as on her Instagram she regularly posts about her reality show keeping up with the Kardashians and posts teaser trailers about a new episode and shows teasers for her new makeup line and any new things regarding the Kardashian-Jenner family and some may say that she was already born into a family of fame and has been in the spotlight since she was only 14 years old and KK Hollywood is a mobile game which includes in app purchases which allows the consumers to get into different parts of the city and also unlocks clothes and other things to customize your character with and help become your avatar go from a not well known celebrity to becoming the most famous person ever.

In conclusion, i agree with this statement as I think new digital media has allowed celebrities to connect with their audience in a manner of different ways.
