  1. Why was Black Widow produced, even though female main characters in the Marvel universe are less likely to be considered potential crowd pullers? (Tip- refer to Wonder Woman and the established success of the Marvel films)

Black widow was produced because of the success of Wonder Women which was made by marvels competitor DC. They also made it because they wanted to set up Yelena belova as Black Widow's replacement in the MCU.

  1. How does Disney make money using vertical integration?

Disney makes money by vertical integration by operating more than three hundred retail stores that sell merchandise based on Disney's characters and movies

  1. How did Disney use social media to market the film?

They used social media to market the film by posting trailers of the film to marvels Youtube channel and by putting the first 22 minutes of the film on Imax cinemas for free.

  1. Why was it successful? Why was it difficult to judge its success? 

It was not successful because in the box office it grossed over $371 million in the box office and was below the expectations that Marvel had set which means in the MCU it was one of the worst films made by marvel.

  1. How was the marketing strategy for Black Widow different to the one for I, Daniel Blake? Write a paragraph and use your books and your tasks you have already completed on the films.

The marketing strategy was different as in the case for marvel they had lots of money to spend on marketing and promotion as they could release merch such as black widow toys in the disney store, T shirts onine and other things whereas for I,Daniel blake ken loach marketed his movie in a different way by projecting quotes from the movie on important government buildings such as the houses of parliament and they did this as they had a smaller budget compared to black widow.
