Square Enix created Tomb Raider, hitman go and Lara Croft Go

A audience pleasure offered by the game is diversion as even though it is a mobile game it offers a sense of diversion as you can escape from normal life and it is a platform game 

3. Why would an audience enjoy Lara Croft Go? (see your books) Include Nostalgia definition in your answer

An audience would enjoy Lara croft go as people who have played   The Tomb Raider games will get a sense of  Nostalgia as it reminds them of when they used to play the same Character when they were younger. 

4. Where and when might an audience play this game? (see your books) They can play it anywhere as it is a mobile game and free which means they can play it anytime and anywhere.


5. What do Square Enix say about their game and what makes it unique? Slide 6

Square Enix say that their game is like the Tomb Raider games as they used the same Animations from the first Tomb Raider game and That Lara had to be fully animated.

The four aspects that improve Gameplay are: Use of Isometric View, Use of Dark and light, Use of colour and Quality of Animation.  

7. Who regulates video games? (See slide 10-12) What does this mean?

PEGI and It stands for Pan European game information and it helped the Consumers make Informed Decisions

A. Define PEGI in your own words and state what it was designed for.

It was Designed to help the Consumers make decisions and buy games based on their age group.

B. Why do companies prefer self-regulation to government regulation?

C. Why has the videogames industry felt it necessary to develop PEGI classifications? How has modern gameplay influenced this?

Why would this not have been so required in the 1980s/1990s?

One interesting Fact that i Learned about is Intertextuality as Lara Croft GO references another game Hitman GO. 


10. What does franchise mean? Which two franchises are this game based on? How do you know? Give examples from the game. 

Franchise means a collection of media eg:FIFA. One Franchise that the game is based on is The Hitman games as Hitman Go is made by the same Company and uses the same Type of controls. Another one is Tomb Raider as The main Character from the game is used In Lara Croft GO.
