Narrative: How is drama created? How is the story
communicated to the audience? How is the story-line resolved?
drama is created by when the dog runs out into the forest and the women is trying to look for the dog also there is another sense of disruption as when the dog runs away we might not know if the dog will come back to its owner. and there is another sense of drama as a girl comes out of nowhere and is trying to help the girl, the 100

Character: How do the characters appeal to the
audience? Are the characters clearly from the Science Fiction / Fantasy genre?
How do you know? Can you apply Propp's character theory to any of the
characters in this extract e.g. hero, villain, helper, donor, princess? Do the characters
reinforce or subvert stereotypes?
the characters subvert the stereotype as they are not your normal teenage boys as they are mostly seen as lazy and rebellious. but in this Stranger things clip they are subverting this as all of them are battling a monster and at the end Eleven kills the monster with looks like that he is using the Force and is a symbol of intertextuality stranger things

does the mise-en-scene (what you see on screen: costume, lighting, actors’
positioning and facial expression and actions, makeup and hair, props, setting)
communicate the narrative and Science Fiction/Fantasy genres? What audience
pleasures might the setting provide for the audience?
one aspect of mise-en-scene is lighting as in stranger things the lights were flickering and when the character is about to hit the monster for a moment the lights change to a purple colour. for facial expressions and actions when Eleven is killing the monster he is screaming. stranger things
