1) What was the point of BBC 3 when it was launched?

When it was launched it was aiming to target a much younger audience as it showed more shows that would appeal to a much younger audience and the timings of the shows were after 9 pm which were when children usually  went to sleep an showed shows that had bad language and mature scenes. and is was a channel that was showing news but as a quick recap as younger people say that the news is boring. it was innovative because it showed shows that were more relatable.

2) Why did BBC 3 go online-only in February 2016?  

It went online because most teenagers consume their television on their phones and the BBC thought that BBC three as a channel was not getting enough views and made the decision to put it online so that it could add more shows  to its target audience so that they get more views and try to make more heart-stopping shows and documentary's 

3) How does Class meet the BBC's mission statement to 'inform, educate and entertain'?

It meets the BBC's mission to inform, educate and entertain as it has different types of characters and has an ensemble cast with all different races,religions  and characters who are a part of the LGBT community. it also also entertain as it goes to different planets and meets monsters who from different planets and are making the audience ponder about what will happen to then in the next episode.

 4) Why did Class not do very well with audiences? Give three reasons in your own words. 

It didn't do very well because it was airing the shows at very late time and the plot was very confusing and it was showing some of it on i Player and not many people could watch it.

 5) Why do you think the fact that it was a Spin-off show from Doctor Who was not successful?

Because it is a spin-off from a really successful show and had really high expectation as itn was a spin-off from the BBC's most watched show and most people care about the main event and don't bat a eye-lid about it

Audience

1) What audience demographic groups might particularly enjoy Class?

Disabled as it has a character   who is disabled and they feel that disabled people are being represented in a positive manner rather then a negative.

2) What audience psycho graphic groups might particularly enjoy Class?

People of the LGBT community as fir the first time they are represented in a show and it is in a positive way.

3) What audience pleasures are offered by Class - Co-owner of a Lonely Heart? Apply Blumler and Katz's Uses and Gratifications theory to the episode.

Personal Identity: it has an diverse cast and other people can relate to the chracters 

Personal Relationships: people are interested on how Ram and Aprils relationship develop 

Diversion (Escapism): it gives people a break from the stresses of modern life and has aspects of horror 

Surveillance (Information / Facts): Class was released  in 2016 and was a spin-off from doctor who 

4) How did fans in the 'Whoniverse' (also known as 'Whovians') react to Class?

 they reacted with excitement because it is a spin-off from doctor who.
